About Story

Story: the Gackt Fan Website was first launched in 2000 during the early stages of Gackt Camui's solo musical career. At that time, information on Gackt was available almost exclusively in Japanese, and we strove to provide a comprehensive English language resource for Gackt's fans by translating the latest news on Gackt and Gackt's releases, as well as by providing images, translated lyrics, and various downloads.

After a hiatus from 2005-2007, Story was given a Valentine's Day relaunch on February 14, 2008. Thank you for supporting us since 2000, and we look forward to providing you with the latest in Gackt news and releases - along with photos, downloads, and all that other good stuff - for many more years to come!

Q. What is that gibberish (i.e. ‚É‚Ù‚ñ‚²) I see on the page?

A. If you see a string of odd-looking ASCII symbols, it probably means that you're missing a decoder for either Japanese or Chinese text. We may use bits and pieces of Japanese- or Chinese-encoded text. Else, your browser might just not be recognizing the encoded text. On Internet Explorer, you can fix this by right-clicking and selecting "Encoding," then selecting either Japanese or Chinese from the menu that appears. Don't worry, though. You won't need a decoder to read this site. Most, if not all, of the items written in another language are also written in English, so you won't be missing out. :)
