Habitat
Mahamari is most commonly found in the bay area of the California region of North America. Its evolutionary ancestors are said to have mostly migrated from the Taiwan and Japan regions of East Asia.
Diet
Known to be a voracious omnivore, Mahamari readily consumes all types of food. It has a noted affinity for cheeses, sweets, spicy food, and raw fish.
Behavior
A social creature, Mahamari enjoys spending time with others of its kind. It is, however, highly territorial and marks its range with robot figurines, stuffed toys, and various other geeky doodads.
It sheds copiously and enjoys music (especially playing the piano and cello), martial arts, games, movies, food, computers and other high-tech gadgets, aquariums, naps, and various creative endeavors.
This creature has also been reported to exhibit the behaviors of an engineer, patent attorney, and magazine game reviews writer. More study may be needed to confirm these reports.
Related Species
Mahamari is related to two known sub-species of the same family: Kameko (Tsukitaka kameko, commonly known as Kame) and Tatsumi (Tsukitaka tatsumi, commonly known as Mussoh).
